Is this a real recall?

I entered my daughters 'new' Aygo (57 plate) into the toyota site- and got this result-

So is this a genuine recall or just an attempt to sell a routine service, or whatever. I know I can get my answer by phoning my local Toyota dealer, but they have such an appalling reputation I would like to get a heads up.

Could be for the rear side windows, in which case it is an official safety recall. Until you establish what the issue is, difficult to tell whether it is a safety recall or a voluntary customer service campaign (for issues which don't warrant a full safety recall). Neither of which are anything to do with servicing.

If you got it from the official Toyota website I would think it’s official. Just follow it through.

Ours is an Aygo from 2008 and we also received the recall notice. My wife went by the dealer and they checked the rear window attachment and it was all fine. No need to do anything. This was in Sweden where they usually come out quite late with recalls as compared to UK.

Thanks to you all. Got onto Toyota today and they were very helpful and, yes, they need to check out the rear glass fixing. I think it is the tail gate glass but I hope to have a conversation with them when it goes in next Thurs. about the rear side windows. They even offered a courtesy car!

It's not the rear screen, it's the rear side windows at fault
