I need a starter for my 2003 Yaris 1.3 automatic, French built. Does it have to be an automatic starter or will any fit?

Most of the 1.3's are Jap built (vin's start with JT if its French in starts with VNK)

i will look it up.

Part number. 28100-0J020 that's correct for a FRP built 1.3 yaris

Thanks Flash,

Is this the ONLY starter part number that will fit? I've seen one with part number 28100-0J010 that looks like a good one.

0J010 is 1.0kw (edit. its for the manual 5 speed), 0J020 is 1.2kw iirc

0J020 is the one listed for the specs you gave

£25 used, £60 for a recon (not recommended) £120 for a new Denso starter (OEM)

Are these suggested prices or do you have some for sale?
