Broken coil pack connector whilst changing spark plugs

Yesterday whilst changing the spark plugs, one of the connector locking tabs broke off.

This was coil number 3. All the others released with no issue. I changed the plugs which all burnt evenly. 
After changing everything, I got some super glue and fixed the locking tab back. Then I got a suitable size cable tie to hold everything securely.

I will order a new plug to replace the broken one. 

Another issue was the Battery going flat, because I left a door open for long periods, occasionally closing. The Battery was flattened a few week earlier when I was changing the power cable to my dash cam and had the stereo on. A few months before, I was doing some diagnostics, and again the Battery flattened. The other day, I was in the car waiting for 40 minutes listening to music and no issues. 
Yesterday I had my little Streetwise powerbank and it started the car.

The thing is, I can not use the car for a day or two and the car starts no problem. Also the indicator says the battery is fine.

I have had the car 4½ years and the battery came with the car. I will monitor the situation and decide to replace the battery.

Well, most Battery guarantees seem to be in the three to five years range. The green dot is more useful as a gauge of the electrolyte level, rather than a reliable indication of Battery condition. If you have a spare twenty or thirty pounds burning a hole in your pocket, then a Battery transconductance tester is fairly accurate in my experience. Mine is a Blueskysea make, but there are a few similar ones available. I don't know if Halfords, Kwikfit or the like will test your battery for you, if they think that they can sell you a new one.

Those plugs go brittle with heat cycling get the housing from toyota, the cheap Chinese ones are dross, you may want to get a pin removal tool it makes life so much easier to re pin the connectors

Battery wise go with a Bosch S4/S5 or Varta, 4-6 years is about right for a Battery - the last Bosch Battery I had been still going strong after 8 years when I sold the car

I have replaced the connector. It was not too difficult. Take clear photos of the plug and cable colour/order. Just remove the white insert to access the terminal pins and tags. Then using a small flat bladed screwdriver, release and push out each of the pins. The wires are firm and stay in place, so it's a matter of swapping the plugs. Push in all the cables until they all click into place, then replace the white insert. The new plug is tight on the coil pack, and everything runs fine as before.

ah you got an easy one, try an 80 pin ecu plug those are a pig even worse when burnt  and corroded
