Toyota Auris 1.33 how to read sensors

My question might be very straight forward as I looking to find a cheaper way to read my car faults rather than taking it to garage where they plug in their computer and tell me that this is the fault with your device. It' so expensive already to keep this car on top I have to pay £25 every time they plug in computer to my car- what is this device called? Can I buy it what options do I have and what is it called?

Any suggestions would be welcomed!

Try an internet search for Techstream.

That's the system the dealer's use.

To use Techstream, you need a cheap laptop, and a Toyota techstream cable, you can buy them online for cheap.

They usually come delivered with the software, which is Toyota's diagnostic tools, so you should be able to see everything related to the car.

Search the youtube for Techstream videos to see how it works, if interested. A lot of members here use it.
