You can turn the rear window heater on and touch the side mirror glass by hand, see if it’s heating up, most likely yes, careful not to get burned fingers. 👍

Too warm these days for that to work

Must be some one on here with a MK3 T-Spirit who can answer the question! 🤔

The question is 'it maybe or it maybe not....that is the question ...or answer..." 🤔

Just out of interest what did u pay the car if hasn't mentioned already, can pm me if u want. Heated mirrors on top trim or none?

I didn't debadged the hybrid tags on mine as don't think they steal the Yaris cat. Also hassle when it's time to sale it having to stick it back on.

Still happening :w00t:

Hi guys,

no one should worry about removing the badges, there are many cars that comes from factories without badges, no future buyers will be put off that for sure. I always like cars that hasn’t state what exactly under bonnet or specs, it’s not 80s-90s when turbo cars had a massive turbo badge or ABS , even though soon any Toyotas will be hybrids, but when thieves are looking the badge hybrid means - check it out, where No badge means drive past or drive away , that’s the whole point, plus for many road users hybrid means slow moving vehicle 😊🤫🇬🇧

The Auris might get away having hybrid badges removed, but not the Prius. 😂
Mk3 T27 Avensis and most recent ICE engine Toyota only have trim level badges. You don't even know what engine is in the car.

Yes, I meant in general the 'cat' thieves are still about

I also hope Yaris will not be targetted 👍

It's a good job Toyota didn't re-introduce the Corona name back to UK or other markets. Maybe rename the Prius to that!

The Yaris cat is part of the manifold, so much harder to remove - harder than cars with Catlock I suspect. Thieves want less than a few minutes.

I loved the Corona (the Asian one, that was never introduce in the UK)

One Toyota dealer said to me "The Yaris would need about 15mins to remove the 'cat', but the CH-R would take the longest" :thumbup1: (now my Auris, I was told by the security guard using CCTV, "literally a couple of mins :shocking:)!

There was a vid on here, driving up the road turning around then parking up then did 2 Prius and gone in 2:40

The only Yaris cats i heard of being stolen are 1.3 petrol, the one on the hybrid is way up high, it a pain to get at with it up on lift

That’s the way life kicks you sometimes.  How come it’s a private sale on a Vantage  forecourt?
