Chassis Rust Treatments ...?

Hi,

Things like the front subframes and rear axle beam are now needing some proper rust treatment rather than the occassional oily wax spray they have received in the past, which never lasts more than one winter.

After using a rotrary wire brush to remove all loose rust seems the usual way is to use a  rust converter/preventer coat  followed by a tough  top coat  but there are so many products / systems on the market, so need some good advice on which are the better ones ?

Surprisingly, Hammerite gets regular thumbs down on many car sites.

Have seen this Corroless systems which  seem a reasonable price and comes from a big manufacturer.

Any thoughts  ....

Dinitrol products highly regarded, way better than Hammerite. A little more expensive but worth it.

Another less well known one is https://www.bilthamber.com/

Probably on a par quality wise

Great question, if I may say so 🙂. I'm having my mechanic do a full corrosion inspection, shortly.

I have to say, the Bilt Hamber products look very good. Great to have this company information.

Hi.

Rustol Owatrol maybe? Works great, people with oldies tend to like it.
