Green Mould On Window Seals

Hi everyone.

I have a RAV 4 and on the rear windows have mould around the bottom part of the window seals. I wipe it away but it comes back quickly. I have some bathroom mould and mildew remover and wondered if that is safe to use. Do people use something else that they find is good.

Thank you in advance for your advice and stay safe.

Mike

Soft/medium old tooth brush works fine for me (did mine today) never used chemicals just water and brush then finish washing car.

Use a dilute solution of bleach with the toothbrush, and rinse off after (say) 10 minutes.  That should kill the spores and delay a regrowth.

The bathroom mould and mildew remover will do the same (at higher cost!)

I use and old toothbrush too...with warm, mild soapy water...then give it a silicone spray which seems to stop it coming back so quickly.

Its not mould, its moss/algae, its cause by the felt/rubber seals, the window traps moisture and dirt what's ideal growing conditions for it

Thanks Bob for the clarity. Most appreciated. I have used a toothbrush for now with some bleach in the water and see how it goes. Sounds like I will have to keep on top of it especially when the weather is bad.
