Good evening, my English is not very good, I am from Greece and I have a Toyota Auris 2009 with Dpf.

I have a problem about a noise from my engine when the car is stopping..

The noise from engine hearing like tak tak tak..

I have new set of timing chain, believed tha the problem was the timing chain but the noise continued..

Has someone an idea?

Thang you..

You need to explain the noise better, or give some example, maybe a video.

Does it make that sound on idle, does it make that sound when hot, cold, or both, does it make that sound when slowing down and stopping, etc etc, anything you can think of.

The noise heard all the time when engine is on idle.. the sound comes from left side, from the side of timing chain. I checked all system of belt (water pump, ac compressor and others..)

Furthermore, I see that when open the oil tap, I hear the sound from inside..

The sound is metallic

Is it only at idle, what is the mileage ?

Its sounds like lifter not holding its oil or possibly a weak oil pump causing the issue

When was the oil last changed ?

The oil changed twice, first 5w30 and 5w40 after.. But the sound didn't better.. Yes it is only at idle. I think the same, that it is from lifters. An other thing which I see is that when I raise the engine speed above 3.000 rpm the sound is lost for a while and after heard again.
