Boot space illumination

Following on from the variable intermittent tailgate wiper 

comes this little lockdown project: boot space illumination.

Having located the feed to the dome lamp behind the right rear light cluster inspection panel I was ready to proceed. eBay provided a pair of led tail-light lamps meant for an Audi and a door switch. As the carrier was a it rough with the lamps one was DOA. Once its replacement arrives I will have illumination on both sides of the luggage compartment.

Good job on the DIY led fitting. I'm taking the easy option of getting led bulb to replace the standard. 👍

My Yaris is a bottom of the range S model so there was no light in the boot at all. I did replace the bulb in the dome light with LED some years ago.

Have ordered some led from eBay China, will replace the dome lights too.

Wasn't confined to just the 'S' range, I don't think that they were fitted to any of the phase 1 models (not so sure about the TS though!)

I now have a replacement for the DOA lamp sent last week. Now with illumination on both sides:
