23.8mm sounds right. Mechanic said it was 23.5mm, but may be listed as 24mm.
I'll have a look at it now and send a link to the garage.
Thanks again for your hard work mate. Really appreciate it

I'm starting to think that searching for the RX12 stuff isn't correct, as all the master cylinders for RX12 seem to be 20.6mm diameter

Here is the catalogue, but the repair kits aren't the correct size

I haven't got a clue how you do it, but I think you could be onto something here.
I'll search for a stockist and check the sizes.

Thanks

Here's what I found for part number 04493-22041

This one says it's for 6 cylinder Corona and doesn't fit the 2 litre sedan.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brake-Master-Cylinder-Repair-Kit-Fits-Toyota-Corona-MKII-6-Cyl-04493-22041/283677267284?hash=item420c7b9554:g:2eEAAOSwoBFdwvI0

This one says unable to verify correct vehicle
https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/toyota~piston~04493-22041.html?Make=Toyota&Model=Corona&Year=1974&Submodel=&Filter=()

Sounds like it's not the correct fit?

18R/18RC is the 2.0 engine
04493-22060 is the replacement for both 40 and 41, ergo they must be interchangeable

Ok thanks. So you reckon it’s the right part?

Had a reply off the mechanic as well. He sent pics of the markings on the old cylinder. Too difficult to make out any numbers, but the 2nd pic looks to show 15/16 ASCO, so it looks like you’re right about the size mate [emoji4][emoji106]

ASCO is the manufacturer, 15/16 is the bore size, it looks like 74 below it

Asco aka Aisin

first pic looks like FR or FB it could even be PR

I haven't yet found the matching master for the piston kit
