3rd generation Previa / Estima : Series updates

I'm trying to see if any members are aware of the 3 series that defined the last model of the Previa/ Estima : XR50

I believe the first series: S1  ran 2006 - 2008,

S2 : 2008 - 2011 or 2012

S3: 2012 - 2019

I am also trying to find what changes occurred with each series update, as this might give me a clue about issues and if they can be avoided with series changes. For example I have been told of a steering column issue with series 1, but am not sure how this was caused, or how the problem was solved in following series.

It's a bit odd I klnow but it might be of use to others

Toyota Owners Club is UK based. The Previa XR40 was dropped from sale in Europe in 2006, as it couldn't compete profitably with the heavily discounted MPV's from VAG, Ford, etc. The XR50 was never officially sold in Europe, so responses may be limited.
