Reversing Camera Quality

Just purchased a 2019 Corolla Excel. The quality of the picture on the reversing camera is nowhere near as good as that in my wife's 2012 Yaris Hybrid. Is that normal and could it be due to the number of pixels on the larger screen making it appear grainy?

It actually looks pretty good to me. It's better quality than my old Jazz. It's not ultra-high definition but seems more than adequate. It sounds like your unit might be faulty. Perhaps the lens (under the blue Toyota badge) needs cleaning.

The rear view camera on my car gives a very clear picture with no grain whatsoever. Get it checked out at the dealer.

Thanks for your replies. It is not an issue with the lens. The dealers have told me they will check out the quality and replace if necessary, I just wanted to know where I stood with some independent views before they do so.

I don't know what sort of camera you guys have but i have to agree with the OP that the quality definetly isn't that good. Sure, it does it's job and i can tell what's behind me, but from a 2019 car i'd expect a much better camera quality.

maybe this is strange but perhaps to rule out an issue take a pic of the display when in reverse and upload here and someone could upload there's and at least it would be possible to confirm if there is actually an issue?
