Let's hope it is temporary. I personally don't see it reverting back, unless London mayor elections, where votes are needed, or different Mayor is elected. I remember when The congestion charge first came in under Ken Livingston, then extended west on his second term. The Boris Johnson won and removed the west extension. Sean Bailey has promised he will reverse the changes Sadiq Khan introduced!
It has not made too much effect on me as there have been very rare times , I have driven into the congestion zone. I have cycled into the zone a lot more. It's the businesses and essential workers who are more affected.
In general, this is a money making exercise as admitted by Sadiq Khan to make up the lost revenue from the buses, that were giving free travel for a period!
Rant over, back to car topics.
