Yaris fan connector?

Hi, does anyone know what this connector on the fan housing is for. I've replaced the fan on my MK2 2009 1.4D Yaris, the replacement fan has a connector here which is attached to a small rubber tube but my old one didn't.

Any ideas on what it's for?

As above its a Turbo pressure sensor

Okay thanks. The fan that I've taken out didn't have this but the replacement does. They're both the same MK2 1.4 diesel. 

Is this normal not to have the sensor as I can't find the wire to plug into it either.
