Hi Fred,

Not at all, I have exchanged the yaris for a 2021 corolla at the toyota dealer and I decided to deliver it with the original radio.

The radio works perfect and the camera is just as the good friend flash said.

the new car has already integrated android auto and Apple carplay as standard.

best regards,

Carlos

Its all on page 3 of this thread

iirc carlos never got around to fitting the tas500 fully

TL:DR

you need a reverse signal from the reverse light to pin 2 on the 28 pin, the camera input is 2-3 wires

If you solve the camera problem. I will buy TAS500 too. For the 2013 Yaris. There is a Touch & Go version and it will be incredible if I can update it.

It works but I would suggest that before buying it, you should get in contact with a workshop and explain them the modifications needed (which are explained on this forum).

Well done! I think that is the easiest way to connect the reverse signal to the tas500.

I think the latest service bulletin is still referring to the update from april 2020, also discussed here:

But maybe @flash22 knows more.

I don't know of any hidden menus of the TAS500 as it's based on a different system to the touch2

Hi,

i received an accessory for TAS500, the applepie mini

It is and android box connected through the carplay interface of TAS500

It has built in 4G Sim, dual bluetooth and GPS and gives full android functions on TAS500.

So you can run any android apps on it without carplay or Android Auto restrictions and connect to your personnal phone to receive phone calls.

It also enables wireless carplay and android Auto.

i really love it.

Heres a review on it:

If you have any question don't hesistate

By the way, regarding the topic of this forum: "Reverse Camera". I think we could close this topic as solved. I have followed the instructions from @durix and it was pretty easy to connect the rear camera to the TAS500 even for a non-expert like me. Maybe you can share some more pictures here too.
