i've a 2019 Corolla, but believe it or not, i'm unsure which diagram to follow on the attached Eurolites sticker!

All UK Corolla have LED headlamps so 168

thanks Lee.  Am preparing for driving to France, where they insist on drivers carrying spare bulbs.  I can't imagine that spare LED's are available to buy?  It would be a nightmare being stuck on a motorway in the dark with no solution if an LED went.

Led lights for UK Corolla Verso were standard equipment from what date/version ?

FYI i was able to buy an LED bulb kit for my car from Toyota Dealer for £33.  For those of you driving abroad this summer

OP car is a Corolla not a Corolla verso?

UK Corolla Verso ended production in 2009 and never had LED headlights, UK Verso ended production in 2018 and some models had HID lights but again never had LED.

definitely a must for anyone thinking of driving abroad (or perhaps even in UK). I'm sure a breakdown response team might be able to change an LED bulb, even if Toyota manual says it's not a customer changeable part.

I would be very surprised if a failing LED main beam did not necessitate a complete replacement headlamp assembly.  To make the LED user or dealer-replaceable, would involve a detachable heatsink and connector assembly, which would increase costs, complexity and size.

A while back I stripped down a 2018 BMW (I know, not Toyota!) LED headlamp made by Valeo (who also routinely produce European-made Toyota headlamps).  In that design the headlamp LEDs - there were three for dip beam, two for high - were soldered-in and bonded to an aluminium back plate, as per the red arrows in this picture pointing to the faint yellow squares (the LEDs):-

I am happy to be corrected, but I think the Toyota Corolla headlamp will be a similar enough design to prevent LED replacement outside of an electronics specialist.  With the BMW headlamp, a large hacksaw was needed to cut the headlamp outer-shell open and remove this module - it was never intended to be opened up to the extent shown.

This kit contains an LED torch and the following spare bulbs listed below.  I need a bulb kit for European travel but not sure of the legal ramifications when you have LED headlights i.e. is carrying only those (non LED) bulbs you can change yourself acceptable?:

I would just make the argument that an LED is not a bulb, it's an LED.

I would have thought that the LEDs would be flat beams and not need an adaptor?

There is mention of certain older models having a flat beam but not confirming whether they were LED lights (older most likely means non LED). The problem is getting official confirmation that it's a flat beam with LEDs as it is not stated in the user manual.  My last 2 cars, one had a flat beam pattern and stated no deflectors needed in Europe in the manual, the other had xenon headlights and were switchable to LHD in the system menu.

The current rav4 has led centred flat beems which comply with europe . There is no issue with local police as they have access to your vehicle details all eu a eea nation are signed up to a central information data base so there no issue with lical police 

As for these companies on line selling kits there job is to make money from you it does not matter if the info is wrong they list volvo with flat adaptive lighting needing a kit . So ignore these alway as the manufacture. 

Every vehicle they make has to be regestered with govt the uk tends not to issue the conformity certificate document like the rest of europe.but everything is listed on that.

People with xenon lights onbtgere cars sticking anything on tge light can cause serious damage and fire. As the glue used are flammable and xenons get very hot.

All led are flat manufacture do not want to waste money naking lhd and rhd headlights so that way center flat was adopted.

As for led headlights you do not need spare blubs as most and molded into the head light unit. European goverments agreed only filament, halogen, and xenon spares need to be carried. Local law enforcement are aware.

I know the headlight sticker number is 168 but it doesn't follow the shape of my headlights? Their not oblong its very hard to interpret from the drawing to the lights which are a different shape. I have just guessed!
