Stivino 144
I'm going to be doing some brake work on my Avensis soon and while I have the calipers off, I'd like to replace the brake line flexible hose gaskets. Has anybody got the correct part number and/or the best place to source them?
Konrad C 974
There are sites like ToyoDIY, 7zap and the following where you can obtain info - http://www.japan-parts.eu/toyota/eu/2008/avensis/adt251r-awfqxw/3_273550_145_352W/powertrain-chassis/4708_brake-tube-clamp/2#47313P

Has anybody got the correct part number and/or the best place to source them? I assume you mean the copper sealing washers? Nearly all Toyotas use 10mm ID x 15mm OD x 1mm thick. You can buy them from brake factors or get a bag from Amazon or Ebay for a few pounds. Don't use any kind of sealant.
Stivino 144
I've got copper washers that will do the job. I just wanted to see if I could get the original Toyota ones without having to sell a kidney.

Stivino 144
I'm just off the phone to my local Toyota main stealer. It seems that if I want to buy the original I'm going to have to sell a kidney after all, they want £10.50 each for them. I politely declined to buy them. 😀

That's not the price of a single copper washer. Maybe the double washer? They appear to be £8.51+VAT ?

Gerg 407
Just out of curiosity, to see what these look like, I googled that part number. It also fits an Aston Martin Cygnet (so, a heavily reworked Toyota iQ) for £3.22 + vat. Assuming that that is an up to date price, then it is way below half price of the Toyota dealer item. Who'd have guessed? Toyota price is dearer than an Aston Martin specialist?! https://www.scuderiacarparts.com/part/259827/astonmartin/4738950020/gasket-flexible-hose.html
Stivino 144
I know, I did the same last night. Who'd a thunk it?
flash22 744
They get you on the delivery charge, i wonder if the aygo part is the same Edit. it's used on everything from an iq to a Hilux and no end of lexus cars - i wonder if there is anything aftermarket
