Chris175 0
I have bought the Toyota proace long, year 2020.The dealership told me that with 2 roof racks I can load 100kg,with 3 roof racks 150kg.I told them them what if I install 5 roof racks and they said that I can't do that as the system does not give the option for 5 racks.Either 2 or 3.Does anyone know anything about that?Is it the roofs ability to withstand more than 150kg the problem? Stivino 145
Whether or not the roof will take the weight might be insignificant. It probably isn't wise to put so much weight so high up on the vehicle.
FROSTYBALLS 3,540
Split into new topic. Two issues: 1. The roof weight limit 2. Exceeding the roof weight limit will make the vehicle top heavy and affect the stability. Manufacturers stipulate weight limits for safety reasons, and if you exceed these limits, you affect the safety of the vehicle. Exceeding the weight carrying capacity of a vehicle, whether internally or externally, will be illegal in most countries.
