2010 T27 Boot Tailgate lock - Estate

Hi, My tailgate lock won’t work correctly, it takes 3 or 4 clicks of the button on the boot to open. I ordered a brand new one from my local Toyota dealer - same problem. It’s like the lock doesn’t have enough power to open 100% with one click? any ideas? regards Alex
