Hill Start Assist

Hi, This is my first question as a newbie on the forum, picked up my first Rav4 today, 2.0D 2015 Invincible and can’t really notice any Hill Start Assist,      The car was stated as having this as a feature when it was advertised by the dealer, So not sure if it isn’t fitted or disabled or what, any advice welcome.

On the 2015 model it wasn't automatically applied.  Try pressing the brake pedal down firmly until VSC indication is lit...

On the Avensis (T27, manual gear) that I had, Hill Start Assist wasn't applied automatically either.

To use it, you had to come to a full stop and activate the Electronic Parking Brake switch.

Then, as soon as you drove away, the brakes were auto-released.  Worked well.

Thanks for the response guys, a firm press on the brake peddle activated the VSC and it held, always been used to this being an automatic feature on previous cars that I have had.

It became auto on with the facelift model MY17 🙂
