Hi All

Is there any ill effect by disconnecting the 12v Battery in a toyota auris hybrid 2013, charging it and then re-installing it

or it require something else to be done once charged

Only reason to remove battery is cannot get power to car from the house

Merv

Strange that nobody has responded to your question. I presume you've got a Mk2 Auris.

I've got a Mk1 Auris (2011 hybrid) & have had no problems having the Battery disconnected for several hours. I haven't had to reset anything but haven't checked to see if the radio presets have been lost. Only thing is that the radio/sat nav seems to take time to reboot so don't switch on & then off quickly but give it a minute..

when i have disconnected the Battery on my hybrid all i have had

to do afterwards is to reset the clock, preset radio stations and the

window 1 touch so there is nothing to be concerned about.

Many thanks both for replies

I understand the  clock and the radio but how does one reset the "window 1 touch"

?

Merv

if after connecting then Battery back up the one touch window doesnt work then

take the window to the down position and hold the switch for 5 - 10 seconds

then take the window to the up posiiton and hold the switch for 5 - 10 seconds

this should of reset the upper & lower limits of the switch and the 1 touch will work again.
