The switch is actually an integral part of the boot lock itself.

Do you know if the car has been in an accident, or if there is some other reason for the boot to not-quite-close fully?

Are you able to see what the boot light does when the boot is closed (by removing the parcel shelf or through a pulled-down back seat) as a confirmation that the car thinks the boot isn't closed?

For a repair, the access to the switch is almost certainly by removing the large inside trim panel.  This isn't especially difficult - it's just knowing where to pull the panel for best effect.  If you were going to do this yourself then researching in advance how the panel comes off would be worthwhile.
