Conversion of a FWD Avensis to RWD kit car style

Anyone converted a Front WD Avensis to Rear WD kit car style with locost type (?) spaceframe chassis?

I am considering converting my excellent 2001 Liftback Auto 1.8L Petrol by extracting the engine, transmission and all usable fittings, instruments, loom, etc. and inserting into a RWD hand-built chassis i.e the engine behind the driver / passenger cabin.  The steering links would have to be disabled / fixed.  I am sure that I could offer some years of future TOC discussion as the task proceeds, but today I simply would like to know if there is anyone who has done this?  If they have what are their overviews as to practicality, quality of drive, etc. and when was / will this be done?  Has anyone been through the IVA process with such a car?

Thanks for your input.
