Trying to locate a 2779cc deisel engine for my 1994 Toyota Hiace campervan. Would appreciate any thoughts or ideas that would help apart from suggesting I get another camper!! lol ...the interior of mine is all solid wood and amazing.

Someone told me to put the 1kz-TE engine which was used in Hilux's in my van ...should be easy to find and is by far the best engine of the lot.

- The Hilux 3.0 L td which came with the 2.8 td engine also, and that the swap should be a simple in and out with no drama.

Does anyone know if this is correct and whether this engine would fit the 1994 Hiace?
