Hi All.

New to the forums area. I have an Avensis D4D on a 2008 plate. It is the tourer version on a T3x spec so nothing really special. I used to work at the Burnaston plant for a few years but left before this model was built so don't have a lot of experience with it. I bought it as was hoping to gain the full reliability etc.

I live over the river from Nissan, Washington. Lots of stories of when the plant originally opened....

.... like filling positions for Vehicle Movement Drivers >> taking cars to Jarrow (Port of Tyne) terminal >> and applicants driving the cars straight off the ends/sides of the car transporters.

Remember Mr Bridger? "I only want you to blow the bl00dy doors off!" .... you get the picture.

Ahhh.... Soooooo Long Agooooo

Welcome, m8

Welcome aboard, Scott...I remember when Burnaston was an operational airfield/airport.!!...the home originally of "Derby Airways" (IIRC) ..who became "British Midland Airways" (now defunct) and moved to the then brand new "East Midlands Airport." @ Castle Donington.

RUToyota can be seen walking away from the Sky Chieftain, with his right hand inside his baggy trousers pocket 😁
