Yaris Mk2 Average Mileage Reset

I'm just getting my head around the Multi Information Display on my recently acquired 2006 Yaris 1.0.

I've done one refuelling, a complete fill up, since purchase, and noticed that the Average Mileage on the computer

reset itself.

My question is..... does it do this just for complete fillups, or does it do it whenever fuel goes in ?

I don't understand your question, I mean the logic of it. 

 

If you have a full tank of petrol, the trip computer will display how many miles  you can get out of that amount of petrol.

 

If you use an amount of petrol and then top up with whatever amount, it'll show you how many miles you can get out of that amount of petrol in the tank.

My mistake.  I meant Average Mileage/Gallon.

As far as I remember, it zeros every time you too up petrol.
