56 Aygo 175/65 tyres will fit?

Recommended Posts

I've been offered 4 x 175/65 R14 pristine tyres. For free!

But. Will they fit my standard steel rims?

Those will have a diameter that is 5% larger than the OE size, the maximum recommended is 2%.

Not sure is 175 width is OK with the OE 4.5" wheels? From what I can find they might be the maximum for that rim width.

Need to use a tyre calculator site to determine whether the speedo will over read or under read with the new tyres. Eg - http://www.autopartuk.com/tyre-calculator/#:~:text=This tyre calculator shows how, maximum of %2B%2F- 2.5% difference.&text=Your speedometer will be 2.7% too slow.

It is illegal for the speedometer to under read - - show less than the actual speed.

According to this site: https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=155-65r14-175-65r14

The speedo would under read by 1.4mph at 30mph. So it looks like a no no.

But could use on the rear I think.
