Cylinderhead Toyota Regius

Wondering if anyone can offer advice on sourcing a replacement cylinderhead for a 1997 Regius 2.7l.  I have a campervan conversion and really don't want to give up on it just yet as it has served me well so far for several years.  My garage is struggling to source a replacement.

Older parts prices are rising, is the head ok to be machined ? or did it drop a valve

 

2.7 should be a 3RZFE

Sorry for the late response, I've posted on different forums and forgot to check this one.  I would have assumed that if it was fit to be machined the garage would have suggested this as they specialise in engine rebuilds.  it has also lost one valve.

It has been suggested to me to import a whole new engine from Japan which I will do if necessary just want to do what I can before I go to that expense.
