ECU or MAF ?

Hi everyone. I have an ST183 which drives fine but the engine light is always on solid. Goes off when driving due to throttle response. Occasionally misses and cuts out. Diagnostic trick won't work with a wire between E1 and TE1 light just stays on. I have to pull the fuse to reset the ecu and it drives ok again.
