Error Code help P3011

Hi,

So I got in my 2010 Auris the other day and immediately the check hybrid ststem and engine light came on, Don't know if anyone here would be able to help! I have my own little OBD bluetooth device and have error codes P0A80, P0B3D and P3011 come up. I've done some reading and it's pretty clear it's an issue with the hybrid Battery. I Just wondered whether the error P3011 (Battery block 1) could also be the trigger for the other 2 codes. I haven't had a chance to have a proper look but also when I opened the boot and took the bottom cover up I found the spare wheel full of water. The Battery is located right next to this, is there any chance that water has got to the battery and is triggering the car to pick up the errors.

Very well could be the cause. Boot full of water is an issue plenty of us experienced. You can try fixing it, usually the light cluster seals are the culprit.

Give it a good clean, air it out, check Battery terminals, clean if needed.

In my case i got it fixed, but  i also took the rubber plug from the boot out, drilled 2 small holes and inserted tiny pieces of plastic tubing, to stop the hole from closing.

So in case of future leak, most of the water could escape.

Hi, definitely the water has caused  some damage to the Battery pack, usually the connectors that gets corroded trigger Battery problems and Toyota will advise changing the Battery, this might not be necessary if you know how to fix yourself or independent hybrid specialist can do it for you. We have similar problems with one of ours Auris , recently I had to take both rear lights out, clean properly and seal with some silicone and put back all together, the problem is not the seals themselves but the debris and dirt that accumulates between them and the body of the car,  and btw the drainage system goes through exactly there,  when this channels gets blocked the water finds its way inside the boot and the rest is obvious. Check also your rear footwells, they may be well flooded too. Just going through the same problems, likely no battery issues yet. 👍
