Hi there,

I see a lot of issues regarding the fuel tank cap failing to open!

I've tried several time and finally I decided to park me car and walk because I had enough.

"I'm not sure what is going on, my friend told me to go to the mechanic and unlocked and never put a lock on it.

I very ****** please is there any one who might help?

thanks

There is a knack to this. My daughter has called me in the petrol station before panicking she cant remove the cap. You have to put the key in, turn key anti clockwise then back clockwise. It should then unscrew if you then turn the cap anti clockwise. To lock it, just tighten until it clicks. I think this is the right sequence but worth checking the manual.

The locks jam up from the lack of use plenty of lube and jiggle of the key helps

also the rubber on the cap goes sticky shocking it with hot water sometimes works

well,

I tried to do that but successfully failed.

now I have to go to the mechanic and take out the cap by force. I'm tired.

I don't know  why is so complicated (producer?).

anyway, thank you guys
