VVTI to Valvematic Engine Swap???

Whats up guys, new member here! My 2009 Corolla blew its head gasket and not a single shop would touch it. So I end up buying a new engine. Turns out it is a valvematic and my engine had the VVTI. I was wondering if anybody has made the switch and if it its compatible? My engine is a 2009 Corolla 2ZR-E25W with VVTI and Im replacing it with a 2012 Corolla 2ZR-E65W with Valvematic. Please help!!!
