Bristol Clutch repairs

Hi,

Hope you're all well.

Apart from the fact I had to recharge the Battery three times and managed to do less than 1000 miles between MOT's this year I think I have a clutch problem.

When accelerating, especially  in fourth , the revs will increase but it takes a few seconds for the car to respond. Not good.

It's a 7th Gen (2005) VVti 140. 80,000 miles. Gear changes are still smooth as ever.

I suspect this is a slipping clutch. Should I brave the main dealer's prices or can anyone recommend anyone in the Bristol area?

Thank you

Hi Loosecanons,

When I needed my clutch replacing on my Gen6, I used a website that a lot of the independant garages are signed up to - google whocanfixmycar

You add the job on there, and quotes come rolling in. Last time the price was excellent. I have used them again tis time round, and found an local garage who specialise in dealing with older cars (my 1999 gen 6 celica was one of the newer cars they deal with).
