IanML 75 Posted January 3 Share Posted January 3 On all modern fuel-injected cars, the idle rpm is set by the ECM (computer) and is not adjustable. If you are having gearchange problems, idle rpm would not affect them anyway, as the engine does not reduce to idle rpm when the the automatic box shifts gear. Auto box shift problems are often affected by the condition of the ATF, so you could consider a fluid change. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
