Toyota Carina E GTI T190/ST191 (92-97)

BR Series Coilover taken out the box by mechanics not fitted, simply becuase we purchased by error as my car is a carina cdx e not gti, and this kit is missing the bracks that the back have to fit on which i presume somebody could weld a bracket on.

 

i was originally going to pay to have the bracket welded on and have the setup on my carina, but ive come to the more sensible decision to sell the kit, sell the car and get another one as we have already plouwed in over 3k in repairs since 2018, which include new clutch, full sevrice, new cambelt and waterpump, new dampners and springs.

 

£700 including shipping which no doubt will cost in the region of £60 as it would need to be insured etc. retails at £849

The BR series coilovers use a large 46mm diameter piston in a 53mm diameter damper body to maximise Oil capacity. As the damper unit opearates the Oil contained within heats up. The viscosity of Oil changes as its temperature varies which can lead to changes in the damping characteristics of the unit.

BC Racing only use a very high quality Oil with their coilovers but go that extra mile to maximise performance and build their BR range with a large 53mm diameter damper body. This increases the capacity of the unit which increases the volume of Oil contained which in turn reduces the peak temperature and so significantly improves damper performance.
