Milometer jump

I have a 2014 Aygo that under ordinary circumstances does approx 6500 miles a year, as I've been shielding most of the last 12 months its hardly moved. I noticed today the milometer said almost 62000 miles, I knew this couldnt be right as its not long hit 40000 ! I checked my mot from July last yr and it was just over 41000. How has it jumped 21000 miles since I last used it ????

Thanks

At face value that sounds very strange indeed. Just to cover all bases... are you sure you are looking at a total mileage reading and not mis reading a 'trip' mileage setting such 6236.5 and thinking it says 62365 for example.

Mooly, you were right ! Applied reading glasses and it was 6200.0 trip reading. Reset to ODO and back to 41,500. Thanks

That's good to hear 🙂 Things like that are easily done.
