Hiace 2004 battery drain when doors open

Hi, New to the site and hoping I haven’t put this in the wrong section. Didn’t see a Hiace forum. I’ve been spending a lot of time working on my Hiace recently and have noticed that if I have the doors open in the van, even if the interior lights are turned off the Battery will drain. Wondering if people here know what it is that is draining the Battery? Is it the dashboard lights that indicate the doors are open that is doing this? Hoping to find a fix for this, it would be ideal to be able to leave the doors open all day and not have to worry the Battery is going flat! cheers!
