Toyota Auris 2012 radio problems

Hi there, I'm new to forums but thought I would give this a shot and see if anyone can advise me on my current problem.

I have had my car for 5 years now and have never had any issues regarding the radio till now. Its started one day by the radio just not turning off the volume staying up and just no dial touch screen part or normal buttons wanting to work! 

I left it a day and the same was happening but then by the next journey the dials started working, the touch screen is still playing up but the whole radio picks and chooses when it feels like working its getting very annoying now as I haven't dont anything different!

I had my phone connected to it today making phone calls and even that was turning on and off!

Any advice would be much appreciated as I dont want to spend a fortune on diagnostics especially in these hard times
