4th Gen Hilux

Hi, Im looking to buy a 4th Gen Hilux (83-88) or a 1st Gen 4Runner (84-89). But there is a lot of different shapes, Normal cab, extra cab, double cab, long bed, short bed, Ifs or solid axle! Is the chassis the same for all with different attachement points for the rear axle, or is it a different chassis every time? Thanks
