Soundproofing doors

HI,  before I put my Hertz 170.3 component Speakers in the front doors,  I'm eager to know how much soundproofing to do.

I have strips of 2mm Noico sound dampening material. Is it necessary to put the strips inside the doors?

Thanks Mcjensen.

ideally you would cover most of inner surface of the outer skin and the inner frame  , some people will go mad and use 2 layers , others claim 30-40% coverage works

if you just have a limited amount fit a piece behind where the speaker is on the inside of outer skin

you can also fit closed cell foam under the door trim and use cloth tape around the clips to prevent any rattles
