What month did Apple Carplay become standard?

Newby so please be gentle!!

I have ordered a new (used) 2019 CH-R Excel, and cant see in any of the specifications as to whether it has carplay.

So depending when your C-HR was built, it may or may not have Carplay.

Easy way to spot is the head unit itself, the earlier ( no Carplay/Android auto ) was a purely touch screen unit with no physical buttons, the facelift head unit gained two knobs and silver buttons down sides of the screen these all got carplay/aa in the UK.

The earlier type cannot be upgraded to include carplay/aa
