Verso 2nd Gen buying advice

Hi Everyone, Just looking for some buying advice for a verso. I'll be looking at the 1.8 vvti 2004 onwards, mainly as I've heard some horror stories about the diesel variants (could be wrong?) Is the petrol variant known for being fairly reliable is serviced regularly? Anything in particular I should be looking out for? Thanks in advance, Oli
