Space saver spare wheel tyre

Just want to ask if it is advisable to provide my Toyota Verso Design 2016 a spare tyre which didn't come with it as standard ( only puncture kit)? I don't trust this kit if I got a blown tyre especially if it's really bad. Will it affect the performance ( got a 1.6 diesel engine and a sunroof)? Any ideas much appreciated.

The puncture repair kit was supplied as standard because the additional weight of the, presumably, glass sunroof would have put the emissions into a higher category when new.

Most puncture repair sealant containers have a use before date, and, if yours has, it may be out of date anyway.

It is up to you if you want to replace the kit with a space saver - just make sure that there is a means to bolt down the spare when in the spare wheel well.

It is possible to add a spare wheel:
