Faulty Windscreen Wiper

Hi all.

My wipers stop in random places on the screen when using the single wipe (push up and release) function or on intermittent. In single wipe function it stops when i release the stalk.

Any idea where to start?

Look like motor unit needs replaced you can strip it down and play around with it but I found it more trouble than it's worth, I got a replacement on eBay and it worked fine.
