Hi ,

i have some  squeaky noises from my  windows  , especially the driver window, it makes squeaky noises  while is  opened in certain positions at every single small pothole i drive into ,also if  i push into the door panel or i touch the windows is making those funny noises. The dealer don’t want to deal with this.Any solutions?

Hi, this sounds to me as something it’s not properly fitted inside, some loose connection between window and rails or something like that but it will require removing the door card and inspection,. Best to push the dealer where you bought the car from to look into it as might be a warranty work, or perhaps not as long as window goes up or down. The problem is that if you start doing it on your own and find that something is missing or broken they will not accept liability as you or someone independent has started working on. All down to your preferences.
Good luck

Very surprised if it is a Toyota dealer who won’t help. Have you tried ringing Toyota if dealer won’t assist ?

Is it an intermittent fault - ie has the squeaking occurred when the dealer has had the car for investigation?? Has the dealer actually had the car booked in for investigation?

If the fault isn't present when the dealer has the car, and there are no fault codes or similar showing, then the dealer cannot deal with a supposed fault.

Please clarify.

If he had been the selling dealer he would have had more incentive to keep you as a customer.  As FB said, it works and there is no fault code and probably no repair cost code.  I guess that means he might not be able to claim back from Toyota.

Try lubricating the window channels with silicone spray - eg https://www.toolstation.com/wd-40-specialist-silicone/p89943?msclkid=615d6af281a51dbedd1f0a9b219dce33&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=PLC+Automotive+|+Brands&utm_term=4578503895599754&utm_content=Automotive

Wind the window down, spray carefully using the straw into the vertical channels in the door that the glass moves up/down within (avoid getting overspray onto the glass), and wind the window up and down a few times.

Same issue here, production year 2020, dealer wont fix or solve issue since there is no service bulletin or instructions. Problem is on front windows and it is from zero km. I am planning to take legal actions.

Get some silicone spray with a straw and lubricate the running channels around the glass that moves. I think silicone spray is the best option as it will lubricate but unlike oil, will not eat away at the rubber components.

Also put them up and down and wash them, in case dirt trapped in the door is breaking off and getting into the movement.

If your glass is scratched with lines from this, then try some glass polish but only once the squeak / problem is sorted.
