Fuel economy

Hello, I have 2009 Avensis 2.2 D4-D 150hp, manual with 300000km and average fuel economy is around 8l/100km on combined cycle ( mostly open roads and motorways). So I am wondering what fuel economy are you getting from youe 2.2 D4D Avensises because 8 l/100km is in my opiniom too high fuel consumption for this type of car.

I'd say it's pretty generous considering the mileage and the engine, of course, it all comes down to how hard you drive.

Well, 2 years ago average mpg was around 7.2 L/100km or (40 UK mpg). I do not know what happend but Toyota  service cant find fault with the car. Mind that driving style nor route have changed. Does anyone else have a T27 Avensis to compare fuel consumption?
