Just wondering if there any specialist dealers in the UK? Heaps of em stateside and some really nice tuning parts. :)

I'm thinking of buying one in the near future, manual if I can find a good one. Hopefully I won't have to ship from the states, if I do it will all be together freight style!

TIA.

Hiya,

I suggest you try posting on the UK Mark III owners club forum at www.mkiiisupra.net. Membership is free. There are always cars up for sale. eBay seems to do a roaring trade in MKIII's too as does Autotrader.co.uk.

Good luck! :)

Cheers mate, I've been keeping a keen eye on eBay and autotrader for awhile now. Just waiting for the right one to come along. I'm quite picky about the spec of th eone I am going to put the cash down to so it might take some time!

  • 2 weeks later...

I was actually looking at a Supra on eBay at the moment.

Linky.

I've read the 1G-GTE isn't the most popular of Supra's to by and modify, but I was looking for one to use occasionally while I sort things out, so the only modification I would probably do would be an exhaust and maybe a mechanical boost controller.

I'm keeping my on it to see if its still on budget nearer the time!

Thanks for the link. B)

However at that price.......

I was offered £5k for one pretty similar at billing last year.. not sure how tidy that one is...

the 1G is a good engine (still in use in non turbo form inthe IS200) performance is similat to that of a uk spec 3.0T, although the 3.0 has more bottom end grunt.

The narrowbody 2.0TT is also a fair bit lighter and as a result feels far more nimble.

In that auction hes not stated what trim it is.. if its got the active damping and digidash etc...

I'm afraid I won't be going for it as I just bought a Nissan 200SX from eBay, cost me £560 with 12months MOT and 6 months tax, with a large service history, new clutch and engine rebuild.

Picking it up next weekend!

One problem, it's pearlescent pink. Which doesn't bother me as it will be a project car so will more than likely be getting sprayed sometime soon.

:)

Still want a Supra, I coud always resell the Nissan for quite a large profit (about £1500) and get a Supra. Will see if I like the 200's first! :)
