Aircon Gas Type for 2013 Verso?

I'm looking at recharging the Aircon as it's not blowing Ice cold. After finding some prices I noticed that there are 2 refrigerants available, R134A and R1234YF.

 

Does anyone know which variant my 2013 Verso 1.6 Petrol would take? The price difference between the the 2 is more than double do I'm really hoping it's the cheaper!

Should be a label in the engine bay specifying which gas should be used.

Thanks for the reply. Just had a look under the bonnet and along the Aircon pipes but can't see anything obvious

Did you look on the underside of the bonnet, too?

As above its on the underside of the bonnet - 2013 is an odd year it could be either type, get it done by someone that does A/C with the proper equipment

I didn't check the underside of the bonnet, just had a look and it was indeed there. Thanks all 👍

You're in luck, R134a is cheaper and more readily available.

I'm glad it's the R134a, as it's £40 to regas at the local garage. If it was the other variant it would have been £90! Big jump in price
