Hello all,

I need to touch up the silverish part of the alloy wheel. Would you know the colour code for the paint, please?

Many thanks and regards.

Hi

Are these diamond cut alloy wheels? If they are, touch up paints are not suitable. It would have to be resurfaced by a company who specialise in this type of work.

Regards

When you say the silverish part do you mean the black that is speckled with silver? Or do you mean the machined alloy surface this is diamond cut when they produce the wheels if this is marked such as kerbing the wheel you can carefully rub this down with various grades of wet&dry and then touch up with some clear lacquer as I have done with mine be carefull that you do not concentrate in one area to much as you will end up with hollows and be carefull that you do not slip with the wet&dry onto the black area.

It’s this ^^ or get the wheel diamond cut again (£80-100) by a wheel repairer

I had a small area of kerb rash on my Design wheels. Took them out by wet sanding then polishing followed by a quick lacquer with Simoniz clear gloss lacquer. Looks OK for now but expect this to deteriorate with time with the dreaded white worm

To stop this happening. Have Alloygators fitted.  Stops you touch the kerb with your wheels.  £85 DIY or around £140 via a fitter.  I have used them on several cars.  You can buy and replace them singly if you damage one.  Darn sight cheaper than a wheel repair or worse a new wheel.

To stop Kerbing, always drop near side mirror to see kerb, then reverse into space keeping an eye on available space for rear wheel
