Hi everyone,

My name is Marc and i am from Holland/ The Netherlands.

I recently bought my first car, namely a Yaris T-Sport.

I want to do my own maintenance and have some technical background.

Therefore i thought it would be fun to join a forum with the aim to share info and to help each other.

Would be cool to talk to other T-sport owners 🙂

A Mk1 T-Sport for your first car??! I'm jealous!!

Hope you enjoy it, they're a lot of fun and easy to work on, and the Mk1 is one of the most reliable cars Toyota have ever made!

Yeah i really love the car. It's pretty quick, reliable and has decent fuel economy. However it has a serious drinking problem, namely the fuel goes bye bye when you're having fun 😄 haha

Hope you enjoy your Yaris, you will never forget your first car for lots of reasons. Unfortunately my reasons are the wrong ones. The only thing on that car that didn’t give me loads of grief was the front number plate.😡😡. I hope that you get a better enjoyment out of your Toyota. Just to clarify mine wasn’t a Toyota and it was back in the sixties 🚗.

Hello and welcome Marc ,2003 T Sport here , very happy with it too.

My first car was a 1966 Ford Anglia van with windows in the side , terrible old thing it was ,I used to buy a 1 gallon tin of oil a week for it.

Not for long though as rusty wings ,and everywhere else killed it .

Haha that sounds pretty bad. Do you also service the T-sport yourself?

Hello Marc ,no I do not service the car myself , though I wish I could due mainly to the sheer incompetence of many garages here.

I used to service my cars when I was young and fit and could do oil and filter change and when engines had points ignition and carburettors could service and adjust .

But even if I was fit enough , I don't understand modern systems.
